Well, I should get to the business of working on a new Chapter of “The Antique House: Book One”  (http://meloniesmorsels.wordpress.com/2014/05/31/the-antique-house-chapters-one-to-four/). I am thoroughly enjoying undertaking this project as it is a new start for me because I am not used to writing stories as my strong suite has always been poetry, which you can see on the blog as well as on my e-book called “Wings of Hope” !!

Before I answer to the muse’s call, I want to leave you with a quote from a wonderful book I am reading at this time (ok I have three on the go – hehe)..

“We fear discovering that we are more than we think we are. More than our parents/children/teachers think we are. We fear that we actually possess the talent that our still, small voice tells us. That we actually have the guts, the perseverance, the capacity. We fear that we truly can steer our ship, plant our flag, reach our Promised Land. We fear this because, if it’s true, then we become estranged from all we know. We pass through a membrane. We become monsters and monstrous.”

Apology for Absence and Tardiness writing

I would like to take a quick moment to apologize for my absence and thank everyone for being patient with me!

I had to remove the app for WordPress on my phone as it was having problems syncing and just now re-added it and haven’t really been on my computer last few days to week.

So far this week has been a busy week, my client finally got into Golden Manor nursing home yesterday, so Monday was organization and packing day and yesterday she was moved in morning and the stuff that was hospital was brought there, labelled right away and put away in her room.
I have small stuff to bring over throughout week that i gathered Monday but other than that, she is settled nicely.

Today, i have interview at 10am that I am in process of getting ready for (so this will be a short blog) at Extendicare Timmins.

Wish me luck!! I will update later!!

Liebster Nomination

Liebster Award –

“ It’s a blogger-to-blogger award that tells a fellow newbie blogger that they are making the world a more interesting /intellectual /funny /better place. For a lot of us, it comes just when we’re facing that first blogger’s block or wondering if it’s all worth it. For the rest, it’s a shower of accolades. Either way, it’s a great thing. There are no certificates or trophies, but hey, appreciation from a fellow blogger is always valued. It is given to upcoming bloggers who have less than 200 followers.”
Liebster Award

Brand New Adventures

Today I decided that it was time to swallow my fears and insecurities and put my words in a publishing format.  It was an interesting adventure to be able to pick the selected poems for a small collection of poetry that had some meaning to me.

It was especially powerful to put some very personal poetry in the collection – ones that I have not even shared on my blog.  Funny thing is that I am not even sure as to why I shared the poems on the collection – something just said “It is time!”.  I swallowed the emotions and decided that I had to follow the direction I was lead to.

Right now, it is in review status and I can feel weird “butterflies” take a hold of my stomach and do magical dances inside me.  I am very excited, nervous and scared to have shared my words in an actual published poetry format, even if just in kindle format..

I guess baby steps is better than no steps and I have to walk instead of just trying to fly.

But, the true reason for writing this post is to give a shout and thank you to all whom have encouraged me, supported me and listened to my poetry with an open heart.

I would also like to give a giant hug and thank you to David M. Green for the publishing information!! You helped me reach a small part of my dream..

God Bless Everyone.. Please look for my poetry book on the kindle library “Wings of Hope”.

Late Night Ponderings

As I lay her in our spare room bed with knee supported by pillow and waiting for pain meds to kick in.

I am also engrossed in the previous mentioned book – it is so hard to put down and yet such a sad story/memoir!!

But I will step aside from it to express myself and deliver some sips of gratitude.

1. Waking up to birds singing
2. Beautiful day despite humidity
3. Good books
4. New friends,fans and followers
5. My loving husband and my dog Shadow
6. Family and friends

And now I leave you with my favourite quote from one of my favourite plays

“Good-by, Good-by, world. Good-by, Grover’s Corners… Mama and Papa. Good-by to clocks ticking… and Mama’s sunflowers. And food and coffee. And new-ironed dresses and hot baths…and sleeping and waking up. Oh, earth, you’re too wonderful for anybody to realize you.”

Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mothers Day to all my followers, fans and friends who are mothers, grandmothers, moms to be and of course to those who are mothers if angel babies, mothers who have lost children!

I know Mothers Day is usually a difficult time for me because May 15th 2007 was my first miscarriage – we found out Mothers Day weekend we were pregnant and 2 days later at 5 am at hospital I lost baby!!
It usually gave me a double edge of heat break and I usually am asking for help to cope with day!!

This year something came through for me – out of the blue today my husband gives me flowers and a card saying Happy Mothers Day from dog!! We have had dog 8 years and he never has done this before!!

It was like the Angels and universe finally heard me and knew i needed an ordinary miracle!!

And weird thing just now my lights in bathroom flickered twice and stopped and light switch inside!!

Thank you to my loving husband, my spirit guides and angels!!!
