A bit about me

I thought as my final entry for night, I would leave everyone with a bit of information about the person behind the poetry!!

My favourite poets are:
Robert Frost
Walt Whitman
Emily Dickinson

My favourite poem is:

” I’m nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there’s a pair of us -don’t tell!
They’d banish us, you know.

How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!”

My favourite colours:

Pink and purple

My favourite past times:
Reading
Stamp collecting
Pen palling
Post crossing
Camping

Today’s activities..

Today, was a very productive day!!

I got bathroom cleaned and disinfected as well as the main floor of my house.  Determined to get rid of all the germs from the stomach bug that poor Jody and I suffered from!!  Perfect day to do it too – this morning it was minus 30 Celcius with windchill in Timmins – BRRRR!!!

I also got all my laundry and dishes down and went to get groceries.. Here is a pete peeve for everyone to know about me {when Food Basics Timmins has a sale and only has 3 cashiers working – really people are you that disorganized in business}!!

I also got some writing done today.. yeah… hopefully muse will speak to me again tomorrow and inspire me some more..   I also was able to read some more of my book from library “In Search of the World’s Worse Writers”.

Till then I thank all my followers, fans and people reading my blog !! Have a great night and may the muses bless you with creative dreams!!

Time For Me

Every time i try to have
My own private time
Bombarded i am with
Questions as to why

My actions are dissected
Piece by piece
No one understands
My need for peace of mind

When i choose to shut
The world and noise out
Guilt and sulking are thrown at me
They don’t care what its about

All i want is my own space
Time to collect my thoughts
Find my inner muses
But outsiders don’t get it
They push and push

It is not rocket science
Nor a great mystery
I just need time to be free

Why are they so confused?

Book review

So, I have been reading a book called “In Search of The World’s Worst Writers” – I found the book at the library. I am not sure why I picked it up – it kind of just called to me!!

Although, it is a bit long winded – the book is actually informative and gives you a glimpse into literature’s shadows in the past.. I have had to put it down a few times to step away from it – as I was having a hard time to get into the book.

Once I got further into the book, I actually found it has elements of knowledge, humour and some different styles of literature and poetry.

I am still plowing through book, but so far it is very interesting.

Some of the authors and writers they discuss are:

  • Sir Thomas Urquhart
  • George Wither
  • Margaret Cavendish
  • The Devout Salutationist

.. stay tuned for more infomration ..
